New gas pipeline commissioned in Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug-24

By Fakhri Vakilov-Trend:

According to the instructions of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Mehriddin Abdullaev, a new gas pipeline has been commissioned at the Kulbeshkak field in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region in order to increase the production of natural gas and gas condensation, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Large-scale work is being carried out in the energy sector of Uzbekistan.

In particular, the output capacity of existing gas collectors with a diameter of 159 mm and 168 mm at the Kulbeshkak field was increased, in order to increase the daily production of natural gas at the Gazli oil and gas production department and prevent hydraulic resistance in gas pipelines.

As a result, in 2021, wells from No. 58 to No. 63 will be drilled and launched at the expense of Uzbekneftegaz JSC's own funds.

The produced natural gas from wells from No. 52 to No. 57 will be transported through the Kulbeshkak - Gazli gas pipeline to the Gazli gas processing plant.

In addition, the throughput of the pipelines and the daily production of natural gas was increased by reducing the pressure difference in the existing pipelines and avoiding hydraulic resistances.

Construction and installation work on this gas pipeline was carried out by Zhanubgazkurilish JSC.

The Kulbeshkak field, owned by the Gazli oil and gas production department, is located in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region and was commissioned in 2008.
