The USA "Air Products and Chemicals" intends to build a plant for the production of rare gases in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev and Chief Operating Officer of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Samir Serhan.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. intend to study the possibility of joint implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan in the field of oil and gas.
At the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues on the implementation of joint investment projects in the oil and gas industry, the current state, and development trends of the global energy and oil and gas chemistry market.
Moreover, the management of Uzbekneftegaz JSC informed the foreign side of the ongoing reforms in the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan.
Air Products showed a high interest in our region and country, and also expressed its readiness to support the ongoing reforms and transformations in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that Air Products is participating in the construction of the Air Separation Unit of the Uzbekneftegaz GTL plant. Furthermore, the foreign side noted the interest in the construction of a plant for the production of rare gases in the territory of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue cooperation, as well as to develop new areas of joint activities.
