SOCAR Polymer has been one of the leading Azerbaijani companies in terms of export for the period from January through August 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Export Review of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communications.
According to the review, in the reporting period, the company exported products worth $142.7 million, which is $60.6 million or 42.5 percent more compared to the same period of 2020.
SOCAR Polymer has become the first large-scale project in the petrochemical industry of Azerbaijan over the past 40 years.
The company’s production facilities consist of two plants: one for production of Polypropylene (PP), and the other – producing High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), located in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. They were commissioned in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
