Turkey has imported a total of 354,913 tons of crude oil in September 2021 from Kazakhstan, which accounted for 8.91 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 22.5 percent compared to January 2021 (289,589 tons) and by 23.1 percent compared to the volume imported in August 2020 (288,258 tons).
Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through August 2021 amounted to 3.4 million tons.
The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $2.9 billion from January through September 2021, compared to $2.2 billion during the same period of 2020.
Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkey amounted to $2.09 billion from January through September 2021, compared to $1.5 billion during the same period of 2020.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to nearly $857.7 million over the reporting period, compared to $666 million during the same period of 2020.
