Iran is ready to build a power plant jointly with Azerbaijan, Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

He made the remark during an online discussion with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

Mehrabian added that the joint technical commission of the two countries can increase cooperation in improving the both hydro junctions between the two countries, referring to Khudafarin and Giz Galasi.

The hydro junctions stand on the Araz River, located on the border between Azerbaijan and Iran.
