BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26. Iran's natural gas exports increased by 84 percent in value and 91 percent in volume, during the first 11 months of last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through February 19, 2022), compared to the same period preceding Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).
According to the statistics, Iran exported a total of 23.2 million tons of natural gas worth $4.87 billion within 11 months.
Currently, Iran's gas extraction capacity is about 1 billion cubic meters per day.
Previously, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said that the value of Iran's gas exports amounted to about $1.03 billion in the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
