TEHRAN, Iran, April 5. Iran is seeking to increase the export of oil products to neighboring countries, said the head of the Iranian Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters Union Hamid Hosseini, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"Iran's Ministry of Petroleum has focused on the export of oil products to neighbor countries. Iran has exported $3 billion worth of gasoline via energy exchange in past months that included 15 million liters of gasoline per day to Iraqi Kurdistan," he said
He went on to say that the possible agreement in Vienna negotiation would accelerate the export of Iran's oil products.
Small and mini refineries receive gas condensate and export gasoline and naphtha, while petrochemical plants in Shazand and Isfahan are exporting petrochemical byproducts.
According to the official, Russia will export its oil products to Central Asia and the Caucasus due to the current conflict and sanctions that could affect Iran's private sector export.
