BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Iran's Marun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) has fulfilled its annual production plan by 100 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), the Executive Director for MOGPC Hamid Kavian said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
The official noted that within last Iranian year, the MOGPC has implemented all its plans to maintain and increase production.
Kavian also added that the volume of flare gas burned at the company for the last Iranian year decreased from 12 percent to 8 percent. Thus, the company currently collects more than 92 percent of flare gas.
“In addition, the company extracted more than 125,000 barrels of crude oil last Iranian year by using MOT (Mobile Oil Treater) and MOS (Mobile Oil Separator) equipment,” he said.
The Marun Oil and Gas Production Company, which operates under the auspices of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), extracts oil from 404 oil wells. The company's daily oil extraction is 562,000 barrels.
About 360,000 barrels of it is transported to the Esfahan Oil Refining Company, and the rest (202,000 barrels) to the Kharg Island.
The company also extracts 570 million cubic feet (about 16.1 million cubic meters) of gas, 25,000 barrels of liquefied gas and 7,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.
Within the first half of last Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), the company had been collecting 16 million cubic feet (about 4.5 million cubic meters) of flare gas daily.
