TEHRAN, Iran, May 9. Iran's gas condensate export to Venezuela has increased to 67,000 barrels per day during the rule of the new government, compared to the previous administration, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
Iran has exported 2 million barrels of gas condensate (in seven cargos) to Venezuela in the past seven months. The export stood at 20,000-60,000 bpd during the same period within the previous administration.
Iran and Venezuela signed a key gas condensate export contract during the start of the new Iranian government.
Reuters previously reported that Venezuela has agreed to swap its heavy oil for Iranian condensate that it can use to improve the quality of its tar-like crude.
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji recently visited South American countries, including Venezuela and Nicaragua.
The minister has signed four agreements and two contracts in the oil sector in addition to two agreements in the agriculture sector with Venezuela and Nicaragua.
