BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 22. Turkmenistan has sold a large batch of polypropylene to entrepreneurs from the UAE, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Afghanistan through the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, Turkmenistan sold a total of 13,000 tons of polypropylene to businessmen from the UAE, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Afghanistan, the cost of which was estimated at $1,000 per ton. The total amount of transactions for the sale of polypropylene amounted to $13 million.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan sold 300 tons of base oil to an entrepreneur from Uzbekistan for a total of $294,000 ($980 per ton).
Turkmenistan is one of the countries that is actively developing in the field of polymer production. The main type of polymer produced in Turkmenistan is polypropylene, which is one of the most important export goods of the country.
