BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has reduced the drilling work in the second quarter of 2023, as compared to the first quarter by 4.5 percent, Trend reports.
The company drilled 19,732 meters in 2Q, as compared to 18,830 meters in 1Q.
Drilling works in the SOCAR-operated fields are carried out by SOCAR’s Complex Drilling Works Trust (CDWT), SOCAR AQS and Gulf Drilling Supply FZE.
CDWT was established in 2007 as part of SOCAR. The Trust adapts to advanced techniques and technologies with mobile and prompt operational capability, and prefers to upgrade the technical tools used in order to achieve high drilling speed, better quality and cost-efficient drilling operations.
SOCAR AQS LLC is an integrated drilling and well services management company. Its major shareholder is NEQSOL Holding, which includes Nobel Oil as well.
Gulf Drilling Supply FZE is mainly engaged in oil, gas and water well drilling and overhaul services, well testing, cementing, logging, inclined drilling in onshore and Caspian coastal areas, based on modern technology.
