BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. A total of 17.7 million tons of oil (including condensate) were produced in Azerbaijan from January through July 2023, Trend reports.
According to Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry, 10.6 million tons of produced oil fell on the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, 2.6 million tons on Shah Deniz, and 40,400 tons on the Absheron field.
Oil production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the first seven months of this year amounted to 4.6 million tons.
Exports of oil and condensate totaled 14.9 million tons during the reporting period. Of them, consortiums shipped 13.2 million tons and SOCAR 1.7 million tons.
The combined oil and condensate production at the ACG and Shah Deniz fields since their commissioning totaled 620.3 million tons (577.5 million tons of oil and 42.8 million tons of condensate, respectively), while the combined gas production was 409 billion cubic meters (211 billion cubic meters at the ACG and 198 billion cubic meters at the Shah Deniz).
Meanwhile, oil and gas exports amounted to 618.4 million tons and 139.9 billion cubic meters, respectively.
Oil refining in Azerbaijan equaled 3.7 million tons from January through July this year.
