ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 14. Turkmenistan is ready to supply its natural gas and electricity to the Central Asian countries and, through their territories, to foreign markets on mutually beneficial terms, said President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in his speech at the 5th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, Trend reports.
According to him, this proposal is a good opportunity from the point of view of establishing long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and other Central Asian countries.
"In this regard, it seems appropriate to create a new form of five-sided interaction—the energy dialogue of the Central Asian countries," Berdimuhamedov said.
The President added that currently in the Central Asian region there is a process of forming a policy of legal and economic conditions for a sustainable energy partnership, focused both on meeting intraregional demand and accessing world markets through international transit corridors.
