Iran expanding gas supply in Fars Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Iran’s Fars Province, located in the south of the country, has witnessed a significant expansion of gas supply on October 12, an official of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammad Pishvaei said, Trend reports.

Pishvaei said that gas was provided to 2 cities, 63 villages and 330 industrial enterprises in the province, with a total investment of 5.9 trillion rials (about $140 million).

He added that more than 10,000 families in urban and rural areas benefited from the gas supply.

Pishvaei also announced the launch of the Meshkan-Herat gas pipeline in the province, which cost 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) and has a capacity of 4 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Moreover, he said that work on gas supply to 41 villages and 500 industrial enterprises in Fars Province started today, with an estimated budget of 13.1 trillion rials (about $313 million).

As reported, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi visited Fars Province on October 12, 2023. He attended several events related to the development of the province, such as the inauguration of the highway, the gas supply projects, and other initiatives.
