ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 28. The volume of Turkmenistan's gas supplies to Russia is expected to reach about 5 billion cubic meters for the entire 2023, as stipulated by the previously concluded contract with Gazprom PJSC, Trend reports.

This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmengaz State Concern, Myrat Archayev at the 28th International Conference and Exhibition 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2023' (OGT-2023).

According to him, the contract provides for an annual volume of supplies of about 5 billion cubic meters, despite the fact that the Turkmen side, within the framework of its obligations under the contract, fulfills them in full, from year to year.

Turkmenistan's Turkmengaz State Concern and Gazprom PJSC have signed a contract for the supply of Turkmen natural gas to Russia for 5 years in 2019. The contract will be valid until June 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Archayev recently said that it is expected that by the end of this year gas production in Turkmenistan will reach more than 80 billion cubic meters, while exports will amount to about 40 billion cubic meters, of which about 35 billion cubic meters will be supplied by the Turkmengaz State Concern.

At the same time, he noted that about 82.7 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in the country last year.
