ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 23. Turkmenistan is a country with one of the lowest gasoline prices as of December 18, 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Global Petrol Prices (GPP) portal, the cost of gasoline in Turkmenistan is $0.42 per liter.
The cheapest gasoline price in the world is in Iran ($0.02 per liter), and the most expensive is in Hong Kong ($3.1 per liter).
In addition to Iran and Turkmenistan, the top countries with the lowest gasoline prices include Libya, Venezuela, Kuwait, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Malaysia and Bahrain.
The top countries with the most expensive gasoline prices are Singapore, Barbados, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Iceland and Monaco.
Gasoline prices in countries are due to different types of fuel taxes and subsidies. So all countries buy oil on international markets at the same prices but charge different taxes. Therefore, the retail price of gasoline is different.
