ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 13. Turkmenistan surpassed the production targets for both the production and export of natural gas over the past year, Trend reports.
Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan's Government, made this announcement at an extended Cabinet of Ministers meeting.
As he notes, Turkmenistan exceeded its plan for natural and related gas extraction by 6.9 percent and liquefied gas output by 15.7 percent within the designated period.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman stated that the country had exceeded its natural gas export target by 12.6% over the last year.
Meanwhile, official records show that Turkmenistan produced more than 80.61 billion cubic meters of natural gas last year.
