Azerenerji JSC plans to repair some blocs at the big power stations in Azerbaijan within preparations for winter 2005-2006, Trend reports referring to the press release spread by the press service of the Company.
Reconstruction of the energy bloc 5 at the Azerbaijan State District Power Station (SDPS) will be over next month and the capacity of the bloc will increase to 320-330 MW. Additional energy will be sent to the western regions.
The 6th bloc of the Alibayramli SDPS will be put into exploitation after overhaul repair. The capacity of the bloc will grow by 40 MW as a result of the repair, while the total capacity will reach 920-930 MW.
The planned work on the steam gas device of the 400 MW Shimal SDPS was over. Measures on reconstruction of some substations, including, Absheron, Khirdalan and Yevlakh ia under completion.
The Company will commission the 12.5-MW first bloc of the Nakhchivan power station and 87-MW module station in Nakhchivan town in 2006.
