In late December McDermott and Bosshelf will hold statutory conferences on establishment of trade union committees. The current meeting of the Committee on Rights of Oil and Gas Industry Employees (CROGIE) and the Republic Committee of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Industry Employees (RCTUOGIE) mentioned importance of establishment of trade union committee at enterprises, Trend reports.
RCTUOGIE stressed that trade union committee were established at Shirvan Oil, Salyan Oil, Azgerneft, Anshad Petrol and Lukoil Azerbaijan.
Besides, 235 employees of Bosshelf (total 1,100) are members of the trade union, 400 - McDermott (1400).
Interest growth in trade union committees and the issue of their establishment is related to the strike of the workers of McDermott.
There are 70,000 oil and gas industry employees.
