On June 19 to 20, a working meeting at the level of experts is held in Tbilisi. This meeting is dedicated to purchase of additional gas by Georgia from SCP Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.
Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri told Trends special correspondent that Azeri and Turkish experts are expected.
He also said conversations with Shah Deniz consortium and Azeri government have been led for more than a year. В"There are some advancements in this respect, and a this meeting we will define amounts and make a statementВ",- said minister.
According to the earlier contract, Georgia receives 5% from total amount of transit as a fee plus 5% purchased at preferential prices ($55 per 1 thous m3). The price shall rise by just 1-5% a year.
In first years of gas pipeline operation, 2007-2008, Georgia can receive in total 200 to 250mln cum m a year, then 300mln and 800mln at maximum load in 2011.
