Azerbaijan Restores Liquefied Gas Deliveries to Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / The deficit of liquefied gas will be eliminated in Georgia. Import of this product from Azerbaijan was restored on 20 August, the Georgian government said.

A cut in production of liquefied gas in Azerbaijan lead to a deficit in this product in Georgia. The cut was caused by the need to repair a catalytic cracking rig at the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery plant.

The major deficit was felt in the regions of Georgia, where no gas mains exist and the public almost all use liquefied gas.

Georgia's monthly demand for liquefied gas is 2,500 tons.
