Investments in Kazakhstan exceed $24B

The volume of direct foreign investments in Kazakhstan amounted to $24.3 billion in 2018, said Yermek Kosherbayev, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to Kazinform news agency.

“Currently Kazakhstan is a leader by investments attraction among countries of Central Asia,” said Kosherbayev.

“During the time of country’s independence over $320 billion of investments was made into economy of Kazakhstan. In 2018 the volume of investments increased by 15.8 percent compared to 2017 and amounted to $24.3 billion,” the deputy minister said.

Kosherbayev further stated that attraction of investments allows to create new job places, to increase qualification of Kazakh workers. Investments also support transfer of innovative technologies and increase of tax payments to budget.
