The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) will create an investment company and a platform to provide alternative options to wealthy clients, including corporate clients, the bank's Board Chairman Abbas Ibrahimov told Trend.
"The creation of such an investment company is envisaged by our new strategy. This is based on our intention to implement modern and innovative business ideas that will help increase the value of the International Bank of Azerbaijan," Ibrahimov said.
According to the bank's board chairman, the Azerbaijani market offers great potential for the success of such a company.
The decision to create an investment company was made at a general meeting of the IBA shareholders on Oct. 11, 2019. Currently, the IBA Board is carrying out the relevant legal procedures for its creation and start of business.
