Trade balance surplus in Azerbaijan grows

From January through November 2019, legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with partners from 190 countries, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.

In particular, products were exported to 117 countries and goods were imported from 181 countries were imported.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through November 2019 amounted to slightly over $30 billion (taking into account the statistical value of crude oil and natural gas exported by the customs authorities, but the customs clearance of which wasn’t fully completed), including exports worth over $17.6 billion and imports worth over $12.3 billion. As a result, the trade surplus was over $5.2 billion.

Compared to the period from January through November 2018, foreign trade turnover in terms of actual prices increased by 3.2 percent, in real terms - by 2.2 percent, including import by 5.6 percent and export by 0.3 percent.

During this period, non-oil products worth over $1.7 billion were exported from Azerbaijan, which is 16.3 percent more in terms of actual prices than in the same period last year, and by 10.3 percent more in real terms.
