Anti-Crisis Fund of Uzbekistan actively supports country's economy

The Anti-Crisis Fund of Uzbekistan received about 1.6 trillion soums ($165.2 million), Trend reports citing data from the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Anti-crisis fund in the amount of 10 trillion soums (over $1 billion) was established under the Ministry of Finance in accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan.

Income part of the fund at the rate of 1.5 trillion soums ($154.9 million) was formed at the expense of credit funds of international financial institutions and governments (998.3 billion soums - $103.1 million), as well as funds of state budget of Uzbekistan (598.5 billion soums - $61.8 million).

According to the Ministry of Finance, expenses of the Fund made up 756 billion soums ($78.1 million). About 411 billion soums ($42.4 million) was allocated for construction of hospitals, quarantine institutions and their equipping.

The Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being received 226 billion soums ($23.3 million) from the Anti-Crisis Fund.

The Ministry of Finance notes that 10 billion soums ($1.1 million) was spent on daytime bonuses and encouragement of medical workers involved in the treatment of patients with coronavirus.

The Fund allocated 117 billion soums ($12.08 million) for social sector, including 26 billion soums ($2.6 million) for social benefits.
