EBRD allocates loan to Georgia Healthcare Group

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has allocated a senior loan of up to $25 million in favor of JSC Georgia Healthcare Group (GHG), Trend reports citing Georgian media.

Critical capital expenditures are required for GHG's participation in fighting COVID-19 pandemic.

This measure is taken within a response to COVID-19 pandemic, in which GHG plays an important role in helping the state by adapting six major hospitals for the patients infected with the virus in accordance with WHO guidelines.

The loan also supports testing for COVID-19 in Megalab, which was originally financed by the EBRD and which is the most advanced medical laboratory in the country,

GHG is presented in Georgian Healthcare ecosystem with three core business lines including healthcare services business, which operates through its fully integrated network of hospitals and polyclinics (outpatient centers); pharmacy and distribution business; and medical insurance business.
