Iran discloses amount of loans issued to small and medium enterprises

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 17

The loans worth about 102 trillion rials (about $2.43 billion) were issued in Iran for financial support of small and medium enterprises, as well as for the completion of enterprises, that have more than 60-percent progress in construction during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the report, in order to increase production, these loans were issued to 3,440 small and medium enterprises, as well as 13,400 enterprises under construction.

“The loans were issued to enterprises in 31 provinces and free trade zones of Iran,” the report said.

Moreover, the names of 7,840 entrepreneurs have been announced to the banks in connection with the issuance of loans worth about 320 trillion rials (about $7.62 billion) in 10 months, the report added.
