The volume of credit investments in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.2 billion manat ($8.35 billion) in the first 2 months of 2021, having dropped by 1.05 billion manat ($617.6 million) or 6.9 percent compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
As reported, the deposits of the population for the reporting period are estimated at 8.38 billion manat ($4.93 billion), which is 314.5 million manat ($185 million) or 3.6 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
Earlier, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov noted that 86.5 percent of all deposits of the population are insured.
