Volume of credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy declines

The volume of credit investments in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to 14.35 billion manat ($8.44 billion) as of early April 2021, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, this indicator shows a decrease in comparison with the same period in 2020 by 5.8 percent (880.3 million manat or $517.8 million).

The deposits of the population as of April 1, 2021 are estimated at 8.15 billion manat ($4.79 billion), which in turn is 1.3 percent (104.2 million manat or $61.3 million) less compared to the same period of last year.

Earlier, the head of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov noted that 86.5 percent of all deposits of the population are insured.
