The revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget were realized in partially favorable macroeconomic conditions due to the complete or partial restriction of economic activity due to the quarantine regime within the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Trend reports on June 9 referring to the conclusion of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan on the execution of the 2020 state budget.
According to the ministry, the main macroeconomic indicators that influenced the state budget revenues last year were a decrease in GDP to 4.3 percent, including that one in the non-oil sector - up to 2.6 percent while in the oil sector - up to seven percent, the funds which are transferred to the fixed assets, which decreased by 8.3 percent, as well as the consumer price index, which amounted to 2.8 percent.
At the same time, the export volume decreased by 30.6 percent and the import volume by 21.5 percent.
According to the Finance Ministry, the revenues of the 2020 state budget amounted to 24.7 billion manat ($14.5 billion), expenses - 26.4 billion manat ($15.5 billion). As a result, the budget deficit amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion).
