The total volume of transactions through the AZIPS and LVPCSS national payment systems in Azerbaijan during the first half of 2021 increased, Trend reports referring to the Review of Payment Systems by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the review, this indicator made up 35.5 million transactions totaling 98.5 billion manat ($57.9 billion).
Of these, 471,000 transactions worth 83.2 billion manat accounted for the Real Time Gross Settlement System (AZIPS), and 35.1 million transactions amounting 15.3 billion manat - for the Low Value Payments Clearing and Settlement System (LVPCSS).
The CBA noted a growth in the number of transactions through AZIPS by 23 percent, and through LVPCSS - by 29 percent on annual basis.
