Uzbek, German banks sign loan agreement

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 30

National Bank of Uzbekistan and German Deutsche Bank A.G. signed a loan agreement to attract a credit line in the amount of $100 million, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The signing of the agreement took place at the Economic Forum of Uzbekistan-2021 currently being held in Tashkent.

The credit line was attracted without insurance coverage of export credit agencies and a state guarantee of Uzbekistan.

The advantage of the signed agreement is the possibility of financing projects related not only to the European Union, but also Italy, Turkey, India, China, South Korea, Japan, and other countries in various sectors of the economy.

Deutsche Bank A.G. is the largest financial conglomerate in Germany in terms of assets ($1.57 trillion) and capital ($77.7 billion). It is one of the 30 most important transnational banks in the world. It has a large-scale network of 1,891 branches, as well as branches and representative offices in 59 countries of the world.
