The Finance and Economy Ministry of Turkmenistan, together with a number of relevant ministries and departments, has prepared a draft national program for the country's socio-economic development for 2022-2052, called "Revival of a new era of a sovereign state", Trend reports referring to Turkmen media.
The new program provides to carry out structural transformations in the economy, using market mechanisms, to expand the use of digital technologies in the economy, to stimulate the creation of import-substituting and export-oriented industries, and to attract foreign investments on favorable terms.
Moreover, it stipulates utilization of the country’s natural resource potential through new industrial and oil and gas production, as well as utilization of renewable energy sources.
The draft program also stipulates creation of favorable conditions for the development of business and the transport and logistics system, and improvement the efficiency of land and water use.
The provisions of the national program will be presented in detail and discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the People's Council (Halk Maslakhaty) on February 11.
