BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The largest share of loans issued in Azerbaijan as of October 1, 2022 fell on households, amounting to 54.35 percent of total lending, Trend reports via the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, the volume of loans issued to households, in the reporting month, grew by 2.7 billion manat ($1.58 billion), or 35.01 percent to 10.7 billion manat ($6.2 billion) against 7.93 billion manat ($4.6 billion) in October 2022.
Meanwhile, lending to the sphere of trade and services increased by 623.58 million manat ($366.8 million), or 24.18 percent - up to 3.2 billion manat ($1.88 billion) compared to October 2021 (2.5 billion manat or $1.4 billion). The share of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 16.3 percent.

Lending to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy totally increased by 3.74 billion manat ($2.2 billion) or 23.46 percent in October 2022 compared to the same month in 2021 - from 15.95 billion manat ($9.38 billion) to 19.7 billion manat ($11.5 billion).
