BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. The Iranian banks issued loans worth 25 quadrillion rials (about $595 billion) in various economic sectors in the country, during the first nine month of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022) Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

"Within 9 months, the banks issued 1.96 quadrillion rials (about $46.7 billion) worth of loans in the agricultural sector," the statistics said.

Moreover, the banks issued loans worth 8.88 quadrillion rials (about $211 billion) in Iran's industrial and mining sectors over 9 months.

According to the statistics, the Iranian banks also provided loans worth 1.79 quadrillion rials (about $42.7 billion) in the country's housing and construction sector during the reporting period.

Furthermore, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 2.32 quadrillion rials (about $55.3 billion) in the trade sector in 9 months.

At the same time, 10 quadrillion rials (about $239 billion) worth of loans were issued in the services sector and 9.58 trillion rials (about $228 million) in other unmentioned areas for the nine months, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, the loans are provided for the establishment of enterprises and facilities, such as working capital, repair work, development, purchase of personal assets, purchase of apartments, and so on.
