BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 8. The turnover of securities on the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) from January through May 2023 exceeded 6.3 billion manat ($3.7 billion), which is 14.58 percent less compared to the same period year-on-year, Trend reports.

The share of government securities in the total turnover amounted to 39.1 percent to 2.4 billion manat ($1.4 billion).

The volume of trading in the secondary market of government securities increased by 105.46 percent to 565.3 million manat ($332.5 million), while the volume of corporate securities increased by 27.47 percent to about 562.3 million manat ($330.7 million). Moreover, the primary government securities market recorded a decrease of 50.47 percent to $1.911 billion compared to the previous year.
