The U.S Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) assists Turkmenistan to develop telecomunications, Daniel D. Stein, regional director of the organization, said in his interview to "Turkemen dovlet xabarlari" ("State news agency"), during his visit to Ashgabat.
"During the meetings with representatives of economic organizations, concrete agreements on development of contacts in telecommunication were achieved, in particular, organizing special visits of Turkmen specialists to the United States," he said.
Starting from March the leading specialists of the Turkmenistan's Communication Ministry, Supreme Council on Science and Technology under Turkmen President, "Turkmentelecom" State Company of Telecommunication and some other ministries will pass training on informational and communication technologies in the United States, to get familiarized with work of biggest U.S. companies, he said.
"It is generally known that Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to develop this prospective trend of modern economy and we are glad to make adequate contribution in this regard," Stein, who also heads the U.N working group on international contracts and is the author of numerous judicial articles of the international trade, said.
