The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry will monitor the Internet market to check reduced prices, head of the Information Community Development Department Rufat Gulmammadov said.
"We were informed that 95 percent of providers have reduced their prices," he said.
The remaining 5 percent are presently considering ways to reduce their tariffs.
"We got in touch with those providers. They promised to reduce tariffs in late February or early March," Gulmamadov added.
There are 30-35 providers in Azerbaijan. Twenty-five are active.
There are over one million Internet users in Azerbaijan.
