Bakcell, the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan is proud to announce that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AIESEC Azerbaijan, the world's largest student-run organization.
Bakcell and AIESEC will co-operate to increase the knowledge and skills of young Bakcell employees by giving them opportunities to participate in the International Exchange programs of AIESEC, as well as provide consultancy opportunities to students and recent graduates within Bakcell.
"This MOU between Bakcell and AIESEC has been developed in a positive atmosphere in the spirit of good and fruitful cooperation. We are pleased to expand our training initiatives and this partnership is another example of Bakcell's dedication to invest in the education of young people in Azerbaijan," said Ms. Ineke Botter, CEO of Bakcell during the MOU signing ceremony.
The President of AIESEC Azerbaijan Mr. Alex Apetrei said: "Here at AIESEC we are very excited about starting the upcoming partnership between our organizations. We believe we`ll able to bring unique value for Bakcell, and are committed towards our mission of developing the multicultural leadership potential of young people in Azerbaijan and all over the world."
Present in over 110 countries and territories and with over 50,000 members, AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and participate in a global learning environment.
Bakcell in February 2010 opened a large training center for its personnel to ensure that they are continuously informed and trained to best serve the well over 2 million active subscriber base. Bakcell has invested in several training projects: Bakcell and Mercer's management development program "Bakcell Formula", the Bakcell Graduate program for students, Bakcell and Junior Achievement Azerbaijan' s "Introduction to Mobile Telecommunication Business" program for the technical major students, and Bakcell and AIESEC's exchange program for the young graduate workers.
