Azerbaijani Ministry appeals to Tariff Council
Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 6 / Trend H. Valiyev /
The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry appealed to the Tariff (Price) Council with a proposal to change the cost of communication services, Azerbaijani Deputy Communications and IT Minister Iltimas Mammadov said.
He said that the proposals, submitted to the Tariff Council, were discussed with operators.
"The changes will affect the tariffs for international and domestic long distance communication, as well as the cost of telephone lines laid for a subscriber and monthly payments for the use of fixed telephones. The final decision will be made by the Tariff Council. Afterwards, the results will be published," Mammadov said.
"Using new tariffs will prepare the ground for competition between operators. As a result, end-users will benefit", he said.
