The Azerbaijani Communications Ministry will consider the issue of regulating Skype, Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said on Saturday.
The minister said such services have gained wide popularity due to their low tariffs.
According to Abbasov, a symbolic amount should be charged by the ministry for the service.
Abbasov instructed Jalil Jafarov, the director of the ministry's Center for International Relations and Calculations, to study the issue. In turn, Jafarov told Trend that the center is already studying Skype tariffs.
