Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 29 / Trend H.Valiyev /

The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) will use the technology of "Cloud computing" to solve the time-consuming tasks of its units, the ANAS told Trend.

The project is expected to be realized this year.

It is planned to create a DATA-center, which will have access to all units, on the base of the Academy. Specific memory that will store a virtual archive will be defined for each structure of the ANAS.

Cloud computing will allow scientists to quickly solve time-consuming task.

To implement the project, the ANAS intends to consider the possibility of acquiring solutions HP.

Recently, HP introduced a set of new products and services that allows businesses and government entities to take full advantage of cloud computing, getting the required levels of safety and productivity.

New solutions HP Hybrid Delivery, implementing "cloud computing" of enterprise-class, have the advantages inherent in such products, as well as meet the specific needs of companies and government agencies.

Cloud computing is becoming increasingly important with the virtualization and improvement of technologies, HP Azerbaijan head Rufat Hajialibeyov told Trend earlier.

He said "cloud" computing is not yet popular in Azerbaijan, but will become so in the nearest future.

Virtualization is a standard data center technology ensuring business continuity. Cloud computing has become popular among large- and medium-sized businesses across the globe due to its flexibility. The cloud computing's main advantage is that there is no need to purchase servers requiring special software to run applications and pay staff.

Cloud computing also allows business owners to save money by paying for actual resource use.

Many leading global companies such as T-mobile, Philips, and the UK and U.S. governments have already switched to cloud technology.
