In January-June, metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 146.8 million manat, the State Statistics Committee said.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan increased by 1.8 times, finished metal products during this period decreased by 12.1 percent.
Roughly 140,000 tons of steel casting was produced in this sphere within seven months or 1.9 times more compared to the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of reinforcement reached 97,200 tons, which is 18.1 percent more than in January-July 2010.
Amount of production of iron casting reached about 169.5 tons, which is 78 percent less than the same period of 2010.
Amount of production of wires and cables made of ferrous metals reached 306.3 tons, which is 31.6 percent more than in January-July 2010.
Some 55,200 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 2 times more than the same period of 2010.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as of January-June 2011 totaled 117,900 tons (to the amount of more than $54.1 million), which is 99.5 percent (in monetary terms - 111.2 percent) more than compared to the same period of 2010.
During reporting period, the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal was more than 47,600 tons (to the amount of over $49.4 million), which is 2.7 times (in monetary terms in 3.2 times) more compared to the same period of 2010.
