Azerbaijan is studying international experience to create an e-security department in the country, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's Staff and Legal Department Chief Bakhtiyar Mammadov told Trend on Thursday.
"The government has already received proposals to establish electronic security department under the Communications and IT Ministry," Mammadov said.
The basic idea of establishing this department is to ensure the security of the national Internet environment.
"Information security should be ensured to protect a virtual network from potential threats. The study of the internal mechanisms of software is particularly important. In this regard, there is a need to design a network security," he said.
