Bakcell signs as national supporter for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2012

Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and The Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan, is pleased to be one of the first companies of Azerbaijan supporting the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. On February 14, 2012 Bakcell CEO Richard Shearer was part of the certificate handover ceremony at the FIFA headquarter in Zurich.
Baku and Lankaran will host the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup from 22 September to 13 October, 2012. Bakcell will provide crucial local support for the tournament, assisting FIFA and the Local Organizing Committee in promoting and delivering the event.
This initiative is a part of the "State Program for Development of Football in Azerbaijan in 2005-2015" aimed at development and improvement of football infrastructure and football education, and promotes healthily lifestyle among the population.
