The commercial launch of the Pre 5G network in TD-LTE standard of Sazz Company will be timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), the company told Trend May 11.
The source said, work is currently underway to optimize the network, which according to the plans should be completed by the end of next week.
The company has installed 34 base stations. The TD-LTE network covers Baku city centre, metropolitan districts, Ahmadli settlement, Yasamal district, Mashtaga, Nardaran, Bilgah, Mardakan and other settlements, as well as Sumqayit and Khirdalan cities.
The speed of data transmission in TD-LTE networks is up to 100 megabits per second. User modems to connect to the network will be offered as soon as the network is put into commercial operation. Also external (outdoor) modems and pocket devices TD-LTE MIFI will be supplied to the market.
As for the tariffs for the service, as previously reported, the company considers two tariff plans. The first one is designed for the people and will cost 25 manats, and the second one is designed for small and medium-sized businesses and will cost 45 manats, and additional benefits will be offered within the second tariff plan.
The official rate for May 11 is 1.7 AZN / USD.
