Sazz company, Azerbaijan’s ISP, has started testing IPTV and IP telephony services in the territory of one of Baku settlements, the company told Trend.
Full-scale work on the deployment of these services is expected by autumn mainly on the Absheron peninsula, where there is great need for them, according to the company.
The tests are conducted jointly with one of the Baku telecommunications operators, the name of which hasn’t yet been disclosed.
The Sazz company will receive IPTV and IP telephony services from the partner (telecommunications operator), and will provide Internet services on its own.
If the tests are successful, the telecommunications operator may suspend or completely wind down its own project to expand LTE network and entrust the Sazz company with the development of wireless broadband access network. Thus, Sazz may get the status of a partner in wireless services.
