The Institute of Information Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has started to research existing algorithms for their use to create a national analytics system of websites, specialist on programming of IIT Yusif Sadiyev told Trend July 3.
Sadiyev noted that, this issue is of particular importance from the point of view of information security and it is necessary to consider in this aspect what problems can be faced in the absence of such a system.
"This is equivalent to the fact that, for example, the Azerbaijani institution dealing with the processing of statistical data is located on the territory of another country, and we provide our statistical data there, including critical information. The primary task is to understand this problem, and then we should start creating a system that would meet the interests of information security of the country," Sadiyev said.
The expert noted that, the system of analysis of web resources, as well as the anti-spam system, or the national search system, etc., can become one of the branches of the so-called national information system, if such a system is built.
"Now, there is a need to create such a system. But, first of all, it is necessary to justify it scientifically and to study risk factors. Another important aspect is that critical information resources, including the resources of state agencies, are located in the "az" domain zone. If the national statistical system is created, it will be applied first of all to the resources that form the e-government, and will be expanded to other categories of web resources in the future," Sadiyev said.
