The launch of the OTT (Over-the-Top) service by Sazz company, an internet service provider (ISP) in Azerbaijan, is expected before the end of the year, Jeyhun Mollazade, the company’s president, told Trend Aug. 15.

He said that the service is being tested in the Hovsany settlement, after which it will be available throughout the operator’s network.

“Presently, the company’s efforts are aimed at optimizing and expanding the coverage of the TDD-LTE network,” Mollazade said. “The company has recently expanded coverage of the TDD-LTE network in Sumgait city.”

Mollazade said earlier that the provision of internet service using TDD-LTE technology, which is currently deployed also in Baku and Absheron peninsula, is one of the priorities for 2018 for Sazz. The Israeli Telrad Networks company is the supplier of the equipment.

Residents of Baku, the capital microdistricts and settlements, as well as Sumgait city, can use the services of wireless broadband internet at a speed of up to 30 megabits per second.
