The company Mail.Ru may act as a platform for launching an online store of Chinese goods Pandao (pandao.ru) in Azerbaijan, Nadejda Shestakova, business development manager of Mail.Ru, told Trend.
She said that in the next two weeks, this platform will be launched in Kazakhstan.
“We are conducting research on audiences,” she noted. “We have recently conducted a study on the online store Pandao, which is an analogue of AliExpress. The company Mail.Ru has entered into a deal with Alibaba Group and Pandao and is preparing to expand its presence in the CIS countries and, in the long run, in the European market as well. Mail.Ru is the platform for launching this Internet site.”
In Azerbaijan, the e-commerce market is at the development stage and has a great potential that should be unveiled, she added.
“This can be done through the interaction of the entire payment sector, that is, banks with IT infrastructure and regulators,” Shestakova said. “Decisions should be made regarding tax issues, identification issues and simplification of certain points.”
